Dr. Heather Katharine Allansdottir is one of the most reputed legal academicians across the world. She specialises in Comparative Environmental Law and International Human Rights Law (IHRL). Dr. Allansdottir is known for her research in the field of Comparative Climate Provisions in Global Constitutions as well as her work in the field of Polar Law. <\/span><\/h2>\n

A Modern History and Politics Graduate from the University of Oxford, she went on to study Islamic Studies from McGill University and an MA in Human Rights and Democracy from the University of University of Bologna and University of Sarajevo (SEE). She returned to Oxford to pursue her DPhil in Socio-Legal Studies and then pursued her Post Doctoral fellowship from Tel Aviv University. She has also attended numerous programmes and courses at leading Universities such as the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University and the Summer University, Srebrenica.<\/span><\/h2>\n

A scholar with versatile interests, she has written for leading global news platforms such as The Guardian, Al Jazeera, The New Statesman, Times Literary Supplement and The Globe and Mail. She has also written for leading Socio-Legal journals and blogs such as the Jewish Quarterly and the Oxford Human Rights Hub (OHRH) Blog. Apart from the field of law, she also possesses a keen interest in Culinary Arts and was a Semi Finalist for 2019 Julia Child Scholarship by Le Cordon Bleu, London.<\/span><\/h2>\n

An author of 2 books (Psalm 119 and Literary Freedom: A Cultural Right to Literature)\u00a0and a winner of the coveted Helene Du Coudray Prize, her third publication titled \u2018Arctic and Antarctica: Polar Law in Context\u2019, shall be available to readers across the world very soon. <\/span><\/h2>\n
