His practice focuses on international dispute resolution, and he also serves as an arbitrator.<\/p>\n

Mr. Finizio has particular experience with energy, financial services, shareholder, joint venture and M&A, and manufacturing issues. He has advised clients regarding disputes under the rules of most of the well-recognized international arbitration institutions and governed by the laws of jurisdictions in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, and the U.S., as well as under bilateral and regional investment treaties. <\/p>\n

Mr. Finizio\u2019s pro bono work has included assisting a Central European government to draft new arbitration legislation and he was part of a team that won a landmark decision in the first freedom of expression case in the African Court on Human and Peoples\u2019 Rights.<\/p>\n

Mr. Finizio\u2019s publications include \u201cA Practical Guide to International Commercial Arbitration: Assessment, Planning and Strategy,\u201d \u201cInternational Commercial Arbitration,\u201d in The Law of Transnational Business Transactions, and \u201cGas Supply Contracts and Disputes\u201d in International Arbitration in the Energy Sector. He teaches international arbitration as an adjunct professor. Mr. Finizio is a member of the LCIA Court and GIAC Advisory Council.<\/p>\n

Mr. Finizio is recognized as a leading international arbitration lawyer in Global Arbitration Review\u2019s Who\u2019s Who in International Arbitration, Chambers UK, Legal 500, Chambers Global, Chambers Europe, PLC Which Lawyer?, the Euromoney Guide to the World\u2019s Leading Experts in Commercial Arbitration, The Best of the Best and Best Lawyers in the United Kingdom.
