Mr. Sourav Padhi
Sourav is an lawyer with his practice focussing on Banking Finance, Project Finance and Fintech regulatory and policy advisory. He has experience in negotiation, drafting of financing documents apart from being involved in a few key project finance, infrastructure finance and financing deals of the firm. He also has been involved in regulatory and policy advisory to financial institutions and Fintechs.
He hold a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in Business and Finance as George Washington Merit Scholar from the George Washington University Law School, also holds Bachelor of Business and Law (BBA & LLB) from National Law University Odisha. He has worked as a legal and Policy fellow at the US India Business Council i.e. part of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington D.C. where he helped US businesses in navigating Indian regulatory and policy framework in infrastructure, digital economy and legal services sectors. He also worked as a Research Assistant to the Centre for Corporate Responsibility, assisting the centre developing models on innovative financing like social impact bonds and development impact bonds. He is also been associated with Cambridge Centre for Alternate Finance as a volunteer researcher, helping the centre with its research projects.
Prior to joining the firm, Sourav worked as an in-house counsel for Housing Development Finance Corporation, a leading financial conglomerate in India, where he administered negotiations, documentation, structuring and business strategies for promoting affordable housing.
